Did I go to sleep and wake up in the future?
Did Columbus come alive and discover another country which he called India too?
Am I losing it?
Clean natural water? Without ashes and other floating household garbage?
Roads which actually look like roads?
People behaving like responsible adults?
Where is this "!ncredible" place?
In the famous words of Tina Fey's Liz Lemon, I want to go to there.
No, seriously. I want to ask the tourism board which country they actually shot the add in? Or was it all CGI?
Is this what those unsuspecting tourists are conned with?
Why have I begun to sound like The Riddler?

oddly, such places do exist...i know, we don't often see them, but, there are so many brilliant places in the country...the clear water, the snow, the lush forest, the trails...i've seen all this, and yes, even though we scowl at the pitiful state we observe our nation to be in, there are a few hideaways that do make it a tourost-haven... :)
ps. i wannah know who the nut-case actor is...to have agreed to have mud splattered on his face...and to have been the complete nut to have climbed those coconuts...either he's completely senile, or totally insane...
even so, i envy him :)
Actually, I was trying to be ironical. My "questions" are most of what I hear from tourists domestic and foreign. Still, there are some places in India untouched by touts and politicians and still retain their natural beauty.
As for the actor, I think he must have been some poor extra. But he does look like he's having fun. Lol.
Aaja mere saath... jannat ki sair karatu :)
Kab se pooch rahan hoon tumse!
Awesome advt. innit? I mean, really, but the problem is that when we are in it, we don't realise, it's so beautiful...
@Stray: LMAO!! :P ....
@Rakesh: Yeah ... But it doesn't give a true picture .... but hey, that's advertising .... :P ...
@Stray -> Haan haan orated ko hi jannat ki sair karao. Mujhse to aajtak nahin poocha. Hmph. x-( **Looks at Stray with a murderous look in his eyes**
I don't see anything wrong in the ad...obviously the country will portray the best parts of itself...you don't expect to be shown slums in an ad for incredible india do you?
@Manish: Ahem! This is a blog, not a dating site . . . :P ...
@IJD: Duh .. My point exactly .. Also, I think Slum tourism is getting very popular these days ... which sounds really perverse in a way ...
@ Manish -> Tum to humaari jigar ke tudke ho. Tumhare bina jannat kahan... :)
Jaldi aa jaao!
